"Slim Suits" Trim Down Beach Shopping Stress
BOSTON (CBS) -- After that painfully long and cold winter, beach weather is finally here. For many women that means one of the year's most dreaded chores, bathing suit shopping.
"Actually walking through here, I started to get a little sweaty," said one woman we caught up with walking through the bathing suit department at Target.
"Yeah, I definitely get anxious," another woman said.
There may be a way to ease that anxiety, thanks to Spanx. The well-known brand of body-shapers is now out with a new swimsuit line at Target. It's called Assests swimwear by Sarah Blakely.
WBZ-TV's Paula Ebben reports.
"I think its sort of like cheating without anyone knowing," explained Sarah Ortiz of Target.
The suits work by using a slimming liner inside the suit. The designers also use gathered fabric to hide areas where many women have flaws.
"I'm a bit busty and it holds. It really does," one woman said who tried on one of the suits. "This is amazing," she added.
The line has both one piece and two piece swimsuits, and prices range from $25 to $50.
If you're interested, you'd better move quickly. Target.com is getting low in stock and the Target store we checked out in Watertown only had a few suits left.
If you're out of luck there, check out MiracleSuit.com for another brand of slimming swimsuit.
