Skinner Out at BC
Boston College has scheduled a press conference for noontime to announce that they have fired men's basketball coach Al Skinner. Skinner has won a school record 247 games in 13 seasons with the Eagles and apparently both sides reached a mutual descision to part ways last Wednesday.
An official announcement was held off while Skinner pursued the St. John's head coaching vacancy.
According to the Globe, Cornell's Steve Donahue and Richmond's Chris Mooney are the early front runners, with Harvard's Tommy Amaker and Northeastern's Bill Coen also possibilites.
