Sixth Grey Seal Found Shot Dead On Cape Cod Beach
CHATHAM (CBS) - A sixth grey seal has been found shot to death on a Cape Cod beach.
On Thursday, the International Fund for Animal Welfare's Marine Mammal Rescue and Research team said it had found five seals that had died from gunshot wounds in recent weeks.
A day later, officials said they had found another seal that suffered the same fate.
WBZ-TV's Bill Shields reports
Gray seals are protected under the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Killing them is a federal offense.
