Shoppers Out In Force
BRAINTREE (CBS) -- Almost all retailers agree: Christmas falling on a Saturday is no fun at all.
They lose a weekend of anticipated revenue and shoppers lose some time too.
This year, the threat of snow this weekend made the already shortened season seem even bleaker. But now the storm seems not to be such a threat, so stores and the procrastinators who love them can rejoice.

By many accounts this holiday season will be even better for business than originally thought.
In recent days, two national retail groups have predicted a much brisker 2010 than we saw in 2009. The groups also upwardly adjusted the already optimistic forecasts that they released following Black Friday.
The trend seems to include the major retailers and smaller, local stores as well.
If you're dreading the trip to the store, Friday may be one of your last chances to score big online, at least in terms of free shipping.
December 17 is the third annual free shipping day. More than 1700 national retailers have signed on.
