Woman Grazed By Bullet Outside Dorchester Church
BOSTON (CBS) - Two families leaving church on Friday night were caught in a crossfire of bullets.
Rosaline Turay and her 5-year old granddaughter had just sat in their car directly outside "Freedom in Christ Ministry" on Washington Street in Dorchester.
She said she heard three shots. A bullet flew into the front of the car on the passenger side and through the side mirror.
A bullet pierced the windshield of the car behind them. Norma Robinson, 58, sat in the passenger seat.
"Guy said, 'my mom has been shot.' And, there was this blood," said Turay. She said the bullet grazed the top of the woman's head.
Turay said before the shots a couple of men were yelling at each other on the sidewalk when they started shooting. They both ran off.
They were leaving the family service, which for Turay has even more meaning now.
"How we should be together, unite together, pray together because you never know," said Turay.
Police are looking at surveillance video. They have a pretty good idea of the men they are looking for, according to witnesses.
