Shaughnessy With Gresh & Zo: 'Inexcusable' Move By Rondo
The Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy joined Gresh & Zo Monday morning to talk about Rajon Rondo's ejection from Game 1 against the Hawks.
Rondo was ejected after bumping official Marc Davis with under a minute remaining of Boston's 84-73 Game 1 loss, a move Shaughnessy called selfish.
"What does matter is a guy doing a selfish thing in the beginning of the playoffs, taking himself out of the next game. Even that game, that was a very winnable game at that point the way they were coming back," said Shaughnessy. "We understand frustration and all that stuff, this is not acceptable. You don't go anywhere with this guy as your leader."

"What this kid looks like to me is a product of the AAU environment, where you're a special guy from the time you're 10-years old," he said of Rondo. "Tremendous talent, we know what he is. But that is not OK; it's un-defendable,"
"It doesn't mean he's a horrible person forever, but you can't defend that last night. It was brutal, and embarrassing to be a Celtics fan today," Shaughnessy added.
