Man Attacked In Front Of Children In Sharon Road Rage Incident

SHARON (CBS) - A local man says he feels lucky to be alive, after taking a brutal beating in a road rage incident in Sharon. The attack, which left him bleeding and unconscious, was witnessed by his five year old daughter and eight year old son who were in the car.

The man, who only wants his first name Michael used, says the attack happened this past Sunday in the middle of the afternoon.

He says a Black Acura was tailgating him, the driver honking his horn, all because Michael was going the 40mph speed limit.

Michael told us he pulled over to let the car pass, but the driver pulled up next to him yelling profanities. The driver then sped off.

But it wasn't over. Michael was on the way to the Sharon Police station to report the incident when the same driver came up from behind him again. This time Michael got out to try and talk some sense into the angry driver. That's when Michael says the man punched him more than 20 times, knocking him out.

The Acura driver took off, witnesses comforted Michael's two children and called his wife. Michael was rushed to the hospital.

He suffered facial cuts which needed stitches as well as a concussion. He says his children are now afraid to ride in the car and his son has been sleeping under his bed in fear.

Sharon Police need the public's help. On their Facebook page they posted the photo of a similar Black Acura MDX. They say they have a partial plate number of 4EK.

The victim gave the description of an Asian male in his 20's but witnesses describe a stocky man with dark skin in his 20's.
