Severe Thunderstorms Rip Through Massachusetts, NH
BOSTON (CBS/AP) - A line of severe thunderstorms rumbled through Massachusetts on Thursday, bringing strong winds, hail, and frequent lightning to an area stretching from western Massachusetts all the way to the coast.

According to the Mass. Department of Transportation, there were reports of tress blocking roads and disrupting power lines throughout the state.
According to Massachusetts Emergency Management, power was knocked out for around 37,000 customers in the state as of 6 pm.

Hampden was the hardest hit, with more than 7,300 losing power, while nearly 5,300 were affected in the Berkshires.
Meanwhile in New Hampshire, the storms knocked out power to more than 20,000 customers in New Hampshire. Some of the hardest hit communities in the Granite State were Bridgewater, Groton, Wentworth, New Durham, Holderness, Plymouth and Alton.
Public Service of New Hampshire, the state's largest utility, reported about 5,700 customers without power, mostly in the western part of the state. Unitil reported about 600 outages in the Concord area. National Grid said it has scattered outages.
The storms were moving out of the area late Thursday, with calmer weather and color temperatures on tap for Friday.
