Seven Bruins Miss Practice Due To Flu-Like Symptoms
WILMINGTON (CBS) -- Seven Bruins players missed the team's practice Tuesday morning due to flu-like symptoms.
Patrice Bergeron, Nathan Horton, Andrew Ference, Gregory Campbell, Daniel Paille, Adam McQuaid and Anton Khudobin all missed the practice due to illness.
It's certainly a high number of missing players for the Bruins, but it comes at a convenient time. The team is in the midst of a full three-day break, having played Sunday night in Winnipeg and not playing again until Thursday night in Tampa Bay.
The Bruins did welcome back Milan Lucic on Tuesday. He missed Sunday night's game for personal reasons. Lane MacDermid also returned to the Bruins after a conditioning stint with Providence.
With the mix of players, Claude Julien was forced to create some odd-looking lines. Lucic skated with David Krejci and Chris Bourque, while Rich Peverley took Bergeron's spot between Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin. Without enough forwards to make four lines, Julien put MacDermid with Chris Kelly, Shawn Thornton and Jay Pandolfo.
