September Is Knocking
It's the last day of August, and meteorologically-speaking, it's the last day of Summer.

Today will be gorgeous as we reach the lower 90s (cooler S.Coast/Cape/Islands)!
It doesn't look like we will be reaching the record highs in Boston of 97 in 1953 and Worcester 93 in 1953.
There will be a stiff southwest wind again today. A moisture-starved cold front wil produce a few showers and storms for northern New England this evening which may also produce a spot shower in our area tonight. However, it's a *very* slight chance.
Labor Day weekend is looking fantastic!
Saturday will be mostly sunny with winds from the north-northeast due to the passage of that cold front. So, the high temperatures will be more seasonable near 80 inland, 70s at the coast.
Then, a northeast wind on Sunday will keep beaches in the 70-75 range while inland will be slightly warmer in the upper 70s.
Some models are showing a 500H vort coming through Sunday afternoon. This may have enough energy to supply us with diurnal clouds and a stray shower. Of course, this will be a very slight chance. Plan on a dry weekend! :)
Labor Day will be another dry day with mostly sunny skies with highs near 80, 70s at the coast.
It still looks like we will be dodging raindrops from a frontal boundary and leftover moisture from 'Isaac' starting on Tuesday.
A small craft advisory will be in effect this afternoon.
*Make sure to check out the Full 'Blue' Moon tonight.
Have a fantastic Holiday weekend!
Happy FRRRiday! :)
