September Days Are Here
Summer seems to pass us by so quickly.
There are just about two dozen days of summer remaining before the Autumnal equinox.
Meteorologically-speaking, today is the first day of autumn!
Watch Melissa's forecast:
As an extra tidbit, meteorological seasons are based on temperatures.
A combination of sun and clouds will be the name of the game on this first day of September.
Highs will be a little cooler in the 70's, compliments of the onshore breeze.
The same deal will go for tomorrow's forecast except there will be more sunshine.
Labor Day Weekend:
Saturday will be mainly dry with building clouds through the day.
There will be a slight chance of showers and storms for western and northern New England though.
Sunday will provide all of us a chance of showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon.
High temperatures for both days will be near 80F.
Labor Day is starting to look rainier. A cold front that's responsible for Sunday's showers and storms is a very, very slow mover.
The newest models show it slowly moving from west to east on Monday, which would provide us with a chance of scattered showers and storms nearly all day.
Highs will be in the upper 70s.
Atlantic Tropical Update: Katia has become a CAT 1 hurricane with 75 mph winds and moving west @ 20 mph. Katia is currently expected to become a major hurricane, CAT 3, by the weekend.
