Sen. Brown Says He Won't Pursue Charges In Sex Abuse
BOSTON (AP/CBS) -- Sen. Scott Brown has told a prosecutor he doesn't want to seek criminal charges against the former summer camp counselor he says sexually assaulted him 40 years ago on Cape Cod.
Cape and Island's District Attorney Michael O'Keefe says that Brown told him he didn't want to pursue the case. O'Keefe said Brown didn't identify his alleged attacker, and that he will respect Brown's wishes and won't launch an investigation.

In a statement late Friday, Brown said he's not writing about what happened to him "to settle any scores" but to let people know they can overcome hardships.
In a book to be released Monday, Brown says he was molested by the camp counselor when he was 10.

The 60 Minutes interview with Scott Brown will air Sunday at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV and WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
