Seguin Thanks Boston Fans Via Twitter
BOSTON (CBS) - Tyler Seguin is off to Dallas, but he wanted to thank the fans of Boston for their support during his first three years in the NHL.
"I want to thank the fans of Boston for all your support you have been great," Seguin Tweeted shortly after the Bruins and Stars agreed to Thursday's deal. "The city of Boston will forever be a part of me. #BostonStrong"
Seguin was traded to the Stars on Thursday along with forward Rich Peverley and prospect Ryan Button in exchange for forward Loui Eriksson and prospects Joe Morrow, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser.
The 21-year-old Seguin was the second-overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, and was expected to be a big part of Boston's future. He scored 56 goals in 203 career games with Boston, with his best season in 2011-2012 when he scored 29 goals to go with 38 assists.
