Security Already Stepped Up In Boston Before New Threats
BOSTON (CBS) - Homeland Security is out with a new warning that terrorists might be ready to strike again.
Authorities learned about the threat within the past 24 hours, it's described as 'specific and credible, but unconfirmed"
The anniversary of September 11th always brings heightened awareness. But this year the 10th anniversary, there is a specific and credible threat against New York City and Washington, D.C.

This is not a confirmed threat and government has not raised security threat at all but there was chatter Thursday.
Intelligence sources tell CBS News the threat originates in Pakistan and may include the use of car or truck bombs.
This particular threat does not single out Boston, though the mayor says the city is prepared nevertheless.
"T" officials say they were planning to ramp up security efforts even before today's threat.
A statement from the State Police said in part:
"The threat information focuses on Washington, D.C., and New York City, and contains no known nexus to Massachusetts and the rest of New England.
State Police will remain vigilant and on alert for anything that appears out of the ordinary, and are prepared to respond to and investigate any reports of suspicious activity."
