Second Student In A Month Dies Unexpectedly At Dartmouth College
DARTMOUTH, N.H. (CBS) – For the second time in a month, a Dartmouth College student has died unexpectedly.
Blaine Steinberg, a junior at the Ivy League school from Wynnewood, Pa., became ill and died at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Friday evening.
Her cause of death is not yet known.
College health officials say there is no apparent evidence of infectious illness.
Steinberg played lacrosse at Dartmouth in her first year at Dartmouth.
Torin Tucker, also a Dartmouth junior, collapsed and died five weeks ago while competing in a cross-country event.
Tucker had a rare heart defect.
