Search Fails To Locate Missing Swimmer In Walden Pond
CONCORD (CBS) — State and local police spent six hours searching for a missing swimmer in Walden Pond Monday, but came up empty.
The 63-year-old man from Lincoln was last seen in the water late Sunday afternoon. He told his wife that he might try to swim the length of the pond.

When he didn't return, police were called at 6:45 p.m.
The two-day search has also covered the woods and trails around the pond.
Walden Pond is managed by the state Department of Conservation and Recreation.
It will be closed to the public again Tuesday when the search continues.
