Scalabrine On Toucher & Rich: How Much Trouble Can Celtics Give Heat In A Playoff Series?
The Boston Celtics take on the Hornets tonight in New Orleans after falling to the Miami Heat on Sunday night at the Garden.
Former Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss the game against the Heat, thoughts on the Celtics in the playoffs, and the fantastic performance of Jeff Green.
Scal agreed with Rich that the Celtics-Heat rivalry is the best rivalry in basketball right now. The Celtics were without Kevin Garnett for the game against the Heat and some were surprised that the Green held on and only lost 105-103. Was Scalabrine surprised that the Celtics put together that great a game?
"They weren't going to lay down for Miami, there's no way that was going to happen. I wasn't surprised because you know add Jeff Green, replacing for Kevin Garnett, is a matchup problem for most teams. Miami went through four guys on Jeff to just try and find a guy who can contain what he was doing."
Looking toward the playoff and keeping this matchup in mind, how much trouble could this Celtics team give the Heat in a seven game series? If you could choose what round would you want to play the Heat if you were the Celtics?
The guys also continued to discuss Jeff Green's performance in the loss. Green scored 43 points on 14-for-21 shooting. Now that it seems he has come out of his shell do you move him to the starting lineup?
