Scalabrine On Toucher & Rich: Do The Celtics Miss Allen At The End Of Games?
The Boston Celtics beat the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night, but needed double overtime to do it.
Former Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss Boston's defense, how much they miss Ray Allen at the end of games, and Rich's favorite topic: why the Lakers are so bad.
Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo, have been taking shots at the end of games with mixed results. Why are we seeing Rondo with the ball in his hands at the end of games, and is that when the Celtics miss Ray Allen the most?
"Great observation, I say yes," Scal said of Allen. "Even if Ray doesn't get the shot... it's just the fact that he's out there. Doc knows the way people guarded him creates confusion, and all it takes for Ray to get a shot off is a small amount of space."
The guys went on to talk defense and the frustrating play from the Wednesday night. It seems like the defense is still not there for this team. What's the problem?
Plus, what's going on with the Lakers? Why are they so bad?
