Savard Heading Back To Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - The injured Marc Savard is returning to Boston, the Bruins tweeted on Thursday.
Savard, sidelined with his second major concussion in the last 10 months, will be re-evaluated by team doctors but the Bruins do not expect an answer on his condition Thursday.
"I don't think there will be any answers today," Coach Claude Julian told the media at practice Thursday morning. "It's out of my hands."
The exam is expected to take place sometime Thursday or Friday.
Savard was supposed to fly back to Boston on Wednesday, but was stuck at home in Peterborough, Ontario due to the weather. He suffered his most recent concussion from a check into the boards on January 22nd against the Colorado Avalanche.
The Bruins have hinted since last week Savard will have to be shut down for the rest of the season.
