Saugus Police Warn Of 'Storm Chaser' Scams After Hurricane Sandy
SAUGUS -Police say they come out of the woodwork after natural disasters - people soliciting plumbing, contracting or electrical services but instead, steal or don't complete the proper work.
The Better Business Bureau calls these people, "storm chasers."

An elderly woman in Saugus was the target of a plumbing scam on Tuesday.
Saugus Lt. Ronald Giorgetti told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Mark Katic the two men claimed to be plumbers. One went into the home to take a look at their sink.
The men said they were contractors hired to check plumbing in the area.
When the men left, the couple realized jewelry had been taken.
Giorgetti says contractors do not normally show up at a home unannounced and people working for utility companies will have a badge.
The BBB has a list of recommendations to protect residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
