Saugus Police Look For Driver Involved In Deadly Hit And Run Crash
SAUGUS, Mass. (AP) -- Saugus police say a Lynn resident has been killed in a hit-and-run.
Authorities say 41-year-old Kathleen O'Neil was walking along Route 107 just after 1 a.m. on Sunday when she was struck.
Her body was found on the median strip.
Assistant Chief Leonard Campanello tells The Lynn Daily Item that police are reaching out to the public for help in searching for a possibly red vehicle with heavy front-end damage.
Pieces of the vehicle were found scattered around the victim's body.
It was not clear what the victim was doing out walking.
