Sandy 'Stealing' The Show
BOSTON (CBS) - All is quiet at home today with a changeable sky and highs returning to the lower 60's.

Friday will be another late fall beauty with a bright sky. Highs will be near 70 inland and closer to the lower and middle 60's for the coast.
Saturday will still have sunshine mixing with the clouds that will be reaching the area due to the extreme northern periphery of Sandy and a cold front approaching from the west. Highs will still be mild in the 60's.
Sunday will be mainly cloudy with showers moving into the area. High temps will be cooler in the upper 50's.
Our main concerns with 'Sandy' begin on Monday and continue into Tuesday before conditions show signs of improvement on Wednesday (Halloween).
Some of the conditions that we may be dealing with will include coastal flooding (high tides around noon and midnight on Monday and Tuesday), heavy rain/flooding, and damaging winds/power outages/downed trees.
The current model synopsis: The EURO is standing true to its initial solution which pushes Sandy westward (retrogrades).
This morning, the EURO shows the center of 'Sandy' backing into southern NJ/southeastern PA/Delmarva Peninsula region late-day Monday.
The GFSx continues to keep the storm well offshore with a 'norlun-like' trough taking shape on Monday and Tuesday.
Then, it has the storm backing up/retrograding toward Nova Scotia the middle part of next week.
The most ominous outcome would be the EURO depiction.
However, both solutions would bring us heavy rain along with wind/coastal concerns.
The model differences stem from conflicting ideas about how the upper level trough/strong mid-latitude frontal boundary will interact with the tropical system. At the moment, the EURO solution is beginning to look more likely.
