Sands Resort On Hampton Beach Sued Over Legionnaire's Disease Outbreak

HAMPTON, N.H. (CBS) -- A Hampton Beach hotel is facing four lawsuits in connection with a deadly legionnaire's disease outbreak. In August 2018, one person died and 18 people got sick.

Health officials and the CDC linked bacteria found in the Sands Resort hot tub to the outbreak.

In the past, the Sands argued the resort could not have been the only source of the bacteria.

Two Massachusetts women who got sick sued in 2018.
