Salvation Army Donations Down This Holiday Season
QUINCY (CBS) - They're everywhere this time of year - those familiar red kettles - but The Salvation Army says locally donations are down a bit, at least along the South Shore.

The Salvation Army says donations so far this year, are down 11%.
"We think it might be because of Hurricane Sandy, it might be because the weather, how it was warm, it could be because the economy and people struggling," Lt. Tim Ross of the Salvation Army said.
The charity is about $2 million shy of their goal of $3 million this holiday season.
"It all adds up, all the change adds up," Ross said.
Donations can be made online or in person at a variety of locations around the holiday season. Many bell ringers can be found at local supermarkets.
