Salem Prepares For A White Halloween Weekend
SALEM (CBS) – In Salem, Halloween is not just a holiday, it's a bonanza and the year's biggest moneymaker.
This weekend is what everyone sets their calendars by in Salem, and a white Halloween is not what anyone was expecting.
By all accounts, the entire month has offered the perfect fall weather. In the Witching capital of the world, though, everything is a prelude to Halloween weekend itself.

The city's got dozens of activities planned, many of which are indoors so people have options, even if they're not ideal. Some outdoor events may get canceled, but planners are playing it by ear.
The bad weather might also force even the spookiest souls to seek refuge in local businesses, which could be good for the bottom line.
It's worth keeping in mind; Salem tends to attract some pretty die-hard fans of All Hallow's Eve, of the variety that can't be kept away by a rogue storm.
