New England Is The Safest Place To Live In America, Report Finds
BOSTON (CBS) – There's no safer place to live in the United States than New England, a new report says.
The WalletHub analysis of the safest states in America puts all six New England states ahead of all the others when it comes to safety.
Vermont takes the top slot, followed by Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine and Connecticut.
The ranking looked at factors like traffic fatalities, number of law enforcement workers, the prevalence of assaults, bullying and unemployment rates.
At the other end of the spectrum, WalletHub says Mississippi is the most dangerous place to live.
