Ryder Signs 2-Year Deal With Stars
BOSTON (CBS) - Michael Ryder is still a Stanley Cup champion, but now a former Bruin.
Ryder signed a 2-year deal with the Dallas Stars Friday as NHL Free Agency got underway. The deal is worth $3.5 million per year.
Ryder spent three seasons with the Boston Bruins, scoring 63 goals and tallying 64 assists. His best season as a Bruins was his first, with 27 goals and 26 assists in the 2008-09 season.

Although he was a disappointment in the regular season, Ryder came up big for the Bruins in the postseason. He scored eight goals to go with nine assists during the Bruins Stanley Cup run, including game-winning goals in Game 4 of the first round against the Canadiens and Game 2 against the Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Ryder scored three goals and had three assists during the Stanley Cup Finals. He finished his Bruins career with 17 playoff goals and 18 assists.
