Man Killed In Roxbury Shooting
BOSTON (CBS) -- An early-morning shooting killed a man in Roxbury on Thursday.
Boston police said they responded at about 4:40 a.m. to 56 Holworthy St.
A male victim was shot and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Homicide investigators are still searching for evidence at the scene.
City Councilor Tito Jackson told WBZ-TV that the victim was a father, and the shooting happened near the Trotter Elementary School.
"No young people should ever have to walk past a crime scene on the way to school," he said. "This is unacceptable in every neighborhood."
