1 Killed, 4 Injured In Rollover Crash In Littleton

LITTLETON (CBS) - The northbound lanes of Route 495 in Littleton were shut down after a fatal crash during rush hour Friday afternoon.

State Police say the crash occurred near Route 2A and involved a dump truck and three other vehicles. The dump truck, which was carrying ground up asphalt, and an SUV rolled over after the crash.

The driver of the truck, a 38-year-old man from East Boston, died at the scene. His name has not been released.

Four other people involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Traffic was backed up for several miles while the crash was cleared.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

All lanes were reopened by 7:15 p.m.
