Roslindale Man Found Not Guilty In 2010 MBTA Bus Murder
BOSTON (CBS) – A jury acquitted a Roslindale man on Friday of charges over a 2010 murder on an MBTA bus.
Kim Gross, Jr. had been on trial for the stabbings two people. One of the victims, 21-year-old Richard Allen died from his wounds.
The incident took place on a Route 44 bus that was traveling toward Ruggles just after 9:00 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2010.
Prosecutors say they presented eyewitness statements, cell phone and tower records, surveillance pictures, and detailed Charlie Card account information linking Gross to the scene and the stabbings.
Jurors deliberated for just two hours before deciding there was not enough evidence to convict Gross of any crime.
Gross is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail on unrelated gun and drug charges. He will return to court on June 18.
