Rooftop Fire Damages Boston Brownstone
BOSTON (CBS) – A rooftop fire at 182 Beacon Street caused an estimated $1 million in damage.
Flames and smoke were pouring from the six story brownstone in the city's Back Bay neighborhood Monday evening.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze that spread to a condo on the sixth floor. There are 14 condos in the building and they are all unlivable due to damage.
No injuries have been reported.
Fire investigators are interviewing residents to determine the cause of the fire. They say it was not started by a barbecue grill on the roof.
