Roof Blown Off Fall River School

FALL RIVER (CBS) - Classes are cancelled at the Resiliency Preparatory School until Monday after the building's roof was blown off in Thursday's wind and rain storm.

The roof to the large brick building was torn off early in the morning, taking down trees and power lines with it. The roof landed about 120 feet away.

Neighbors told WBZ-TV they heard the roof being ripped off the building and bricks landing on the ground below.

The school was built in the 1800's.

Once known as Westall Elementary School, it is now used as an alternative high school.

Workers were seen taking computer equipment out of the building Thursday morning. The school tells WBZ they are working on a contingency plan.
