Romney Set To Endorse Scott Brown In Senate Race

STRATHAM, N.H. (AP) — Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee for president in 2012, is coming to New Hampshire to endorse Scott Brown's bid for U.S. Senate.

Next week's visit comes as some Romney supporters are urging him to consider another White House run in 2016. Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts who won the New Hampshire primary in 2012, has said repeatedly he won't run again.

Brown won a 2010 special election in Massachusetts to fill the Senate seat left vacant when Edward Kennedy died. He was beaten two years later by Elizabeth Warren. Brown moved to New Hampshire in December and formally announced his Senate campaign in April.

He faces a September primary against former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith and former state Sen. Jim Rubens. The winner faces incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen.
