Romney, Perry Talk Jobs In New Hampshire
NASHUA, NH (CBS) - Texas Governor Rick Perry came into New Hampshire with momentum.
At a speech in Bedford and a business round table in Nashua, Perry hit on key conservative themes, proposing cuts to taxes and spending. He also touted his jobs record. Perry says 40 percent of the new jobs created in America in the last few years were in Texas.
"I think a lot of Americans are really focused on how do we get America working again. Who has the track record of creating jobs in the state while he was governor and I'll put my record against anybody that's running."

That includes former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Romney has been the frontrunner.
Rasmussen just released a poll that showed nationally, Perry now tops Romney. But polls focusing on just New Hampshire show Romney still has a sizable lead.
Romney also spent the day in New Hampshire. He wanted to talk about his business experience, not Rick Perry.
"The more, the merrier," says Romney. "If others want to get in, terrific. The water is fine. Good opportunities for debate and discussion."
In Perry's case, some of that discussion has centered around comments he's made comparing the Fed chairman's policies to treason. His opponents have called him reckless. Perry says he'll prove to New Hampshire, he's not.
Perry says, "I don't think there's anything radical or reckless about creating jobs."
