Romney endorses GOP's Golnik in House campaign
Republican Mitt Romney is endorsing Jon Golnik's campaign for Congress.
Golnik announced the backing of the former Massachusetts governor and 2008 presidential contender in a statement Monday.
It had previously been posted on the website for Romney's political action committee.
Golnik is a Westford businessman trying to unseat Rep. Niki Tsongas in the 5th Congressional District. It includes the Merrimack Valley region.
Romney has also endorsed state Rep. Jeffrey Perry in his bid for the congressional seat representing Cape Cod, and Sean Bielat in his campaign against Democratic Rep. Barney Frank.
That seat represents the area from Newton to New Bedford.
