Rome Wishes Horton 'Quick And Full Recovery'
BOSTON (CBS) -Vancouver Canucks defenseman Aaron Rome knocked Bruins forward Nathan Horton out of the Stanley Cup on Monday night, and Tuesday issued a statement wishing him a speedy recovery.
"I want to express my concern for Nathan's well being and wish him a quick and full recovery," Rome said in a release. "I try to play this game honestly and with integrity. As someone who has experienced this type of injury I am well aware of its serious nature and have no desire for another player to experience it. I will not take away my teammates' focus on the task at hand and intend to speak at an appropriate time in future."

Rome was suspended four-games by the NHL for his hit on Horton in the first period of Boston's 8-1 Game 3 victory, which required the Bruins forward to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. Horton spent the night at Mass General Hospital and was diagnosed with a severe concussion.
He was released Tuesday morning, but will miss the rest of the playoffs.
