Roche: Time For Lackey To Step It Up
BOSTON (CBS) - Not much left to say about this ridiculous start to the 2011 Red Sox season.
And, after listening to the Charlie Sheen interview on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher and Rich Wednesday morning, I can only think of one thing... Winning!
That's it. Winning. No more talking. No more, "Let's get rid of Dice-K or Lackey, etc." Right now it's simply about finding a way to win. And then keep on doing it.

We're starting to move into the territory of.. have the Sox dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of?
Personally, I don't think so. I still think that if they climb back to .500 by May 1st or even May 15th, the Red Sox can still make the playoffs.
However, it's not about what I think. It's about the Sox themselves. Time to man-up. No excuses. Time to get ticked off. Win one game. And then win another.
Wednesday night it is time for John Lackey to come up with a quality start. I don't want to hear about the ump, cheap hits, or your defense. Don't show us the bad body language after something goes against you. Get on the mound and compete. Battle. Make this like it's your final start ever in the bigs. And then do it again.
You have to Mr. Lackey. It's getting scary around here.
