Roche: Savard Goes Home
BOSTON (CBS) - Not good news out of the Bruins camp on how Marc Savard is doing when it comes to his latest concussion.
Coach Claude Julien said that Savard has gone home to his house in Canada.
Savard suffered a moderate concussion this past Saturday in Colorado when he was hit against the boards by former teammate Matt Hunwick.
Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli was on with "Toucher & Rich" on 98.5-The Sports Hub Wednesday morning and said, "The issue with Marc is this concussion happened so soon after the significant concussion. So, that has a lot of bearing on his recoverability and whatnot. That's what we have to watch very closely."
Savard missed all of training camp and the first 23 games of this season due to a concussion he suffered last season at the hands of Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke.
The 33-year-old played his first game of this season in December 2nd. He notched 2 goals and 8 assists in 25 games.
One has to wonder if this latest blow causes Savard to think about retiring from the game.
