Roche: Just Block It Out
BOSTON (CBS) - The Celtics got outscored 32-11 in the 3rd quarter of Game Two of their play-off game with the Knicks in New York and fell 87-71 to fall behind 2-0 in the best-of-seven opening round series.
The Bruins had two goals scored 7 seconds apart and then two more 13 seconds apart as they dropped a 5-2 decision to the Flyers in Philadelphia.
The Red Sox fell to the Oakland A's 13-0 in a game called because of the "mercy rule" at Fenway Park (actually, it was rained out after 7 innings).
A bad night for the Boston sports teams. Period.
You will hear non-stop negative chatter all day Wednesday on the sports radio airwaves. Our man Michael Felger will be leading the charge.
You will read blogs and tweets about how bad the Celtics, Bruins and Sox are.
You will hear or read.....
--How old the Celtics are and have no shot, especially if KG is hurting....
--How Claude Julien should be fired because the players have tuned him out....
--How Alfred Aceves threw his team under the bus after a miserable outing.....(BTW I listened to his interview after the game and he had a hard time trying to convey his thoughts, just my opinion. Sounded like it didn't come out like he wanted it to)
You know what?
Tune it all out. Don't read. Relax. Go see a movie. Hang out with your family.
It's OK. There are games to be played. There is time.
Clear your minds and come back when the games start again.
It was just one bad night for the sports teams. No more, no less.
