Roche: Game 7 Is What It's All About
CBS (BOSTON) - Put away all your criticisms of the 1) Power play (which has been better than Van's by the way), 2) coach and his playing of Tyler Seguin, 3) whatever else is bothering you, and simply embrace this moment.
This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is what it's all about.
A Game 7. One game...winner take all... or, in this case... The Stanley Cup.
How cool is that?
The Boston Bruins started the season off in Prague. And now, they are here.
The Bruins have battled ups and downs all season long. They've dealt with injuries... from Marc Savard to Nathan Horton. They've shown resiliency both in the regular season and the playoffs. Their coach and GM have come under fire. They've been criticized for a bad power play... over and over again.

They've erased previous demons. Montreal? Despite losing the first two at home, they outlasted their arch-rival. And then, they quickly swept away the Philadelphia Flyers... the team that made the Bruins reach an all-time low just one season ago. Next up? Tampa Bay. A team that took the B's to the limit again.
And finally, mighty Vancouver.
Bruins One Win Away
The regular season champ and the team that was expected to roll over the Bruins. A team that broke Boston's heart with one-goal wins in Games 1, 2, and 5.
But here they are. Playing in the game that every kid who ever laced up the skates has dreamed of and played out over and over again in the backyard, the basement, or the pond.
This is a moment none of these players will ever forget. As Mark Recchi told me long after Game 6 had ended, everyone should embrace this game. I'm with him.

The Bruins may not win the Stanley Cup (although I think they will), but they have nothing to regret. These players have done it over and over again. They've given everything they have.
So, don't fret Bruins fans as we wait for the puck to drop in Game 7.
Just simply enjoy the moment for what it is and what should be a fantastic conclusion to what has been a helluva ride.
