Robin Lopez Reportedly Joining Knicks
BOSTON (CBS) -- Another potential big man is off the market for the Boston Celtics.
Free agent seven-footer Robin Lopez is reportedly signing with the New York Knicks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
While he isn't the big prize of the summer, Lopez would have been a nice fit in Boston. He plays hard and puts up solid numbers, averaging 9.6 points and 6.7 rebounds over 59 games for the Portland Trail Blazers last year, and would have provided a presence in the paint Boston has lacked the last few seasons.
For his seven-year NBA career, Lopez have averaged 8.2 points and five rebounds per game for Phoenix, New Orleans and Portland.
