Robert Kraft Makes Surprise Visit At Patriots Party In Denver

DENVER, Colorado (CBS) -- It's a party strictly for Pats fans in Denver, organized by the Pike's Peak Pats group.

"This place is absolutely amazing," said one fan.

From posing with the players to the music straight out of Boston, this party is all New England. But in the middle of this pre-AFC Championship madness, there was a Super Bowl-sized surprise when New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft mad an appearance.

Kraft told WBZ-TV's Kate Merrill he had to be there to say thanks

"These fans are great. This is the sixth time I've come to this event," he says, adding that it was "pretty special" to have Patriots fans in Denver.

Once inside, Kraft fired up the already rowdy crowd, crammed in to hear him and he even gave them an update on the team.

"They have an amazing game plan for tomorrow," he said, referring to the AFC title game Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

These diehards couldn't get enough. Kraft even brought out the Super Bowl trophy at one point.

Six lucky attendees were also given tickets to sit at the 50-yard line for Sunday's game. It was a small gesture to show his appreciate to the dedicated fan base.

"We're all Patriots," Kraft said.
