Roads Report: Icing, Flooding, And Spinouts
BOSTON (CBS) - Here are the latest road and traffic conditions from the Massachusetts State Police as of 2:05 p.m.:
Troopers are reporting a widespread drop in temperatures, causing previously treated wet roadways to become covered by ice. Troopers are responding to numerous skidding incidents and spinouts. Motorists are urged to stay off the roads if possible, and if they need to drive, to go slowly and leave adequate space between themselves and the vehicle ahead of them.

Here is the regional update:
Northeastern Massachusetts: Troop A barracks reporting light freezing rain with occasional spinouts and minor crashes.
Metropolitan Boston: Troop H barracks reporting light flurries mixing with rain. Roadways are slush-covered and slippery, and flooding incidents are beginning to occur. Flooding has been reported on the left travel lanes of Route 128 northbound and southbound at Great Plain Avenue; on the ramps between Route 128 and Route 1; on Route 9 in the Newton/Brookline area; and multiple spots on the northern end of Route 24, in the Avon/Randolph/Braintree area. The Foxboro barracks are responding to multiple spinouts as roads start to ice over.
Southeastern Massachusetts: Troop D barracks are reporting rain across the region and flooding in several areas. Flooding has been reported on Route 3 south between Exits 15 and 17 and on Route 44 eastbound between Route 58 and Spring Street; on Route 195 eastbound, east of Exit 3, where troopers are also working a rollover crash; Route 24 north and south in the area of Route 123 in Brockton, necessitating the closure of the ramp from 123 westbound to 24 northbound; on Route 25 east and west in the Bourne area. Troopers also responded to a tractor-trailer unit off in the median strip of Route 25 east at mile marker 1.25.
Central Massachusetts: Troop C Barracks reporting snow changing to sleet and rain with no significant crashes, incidents or road closures at this time.
Western Massachusetts: Troop B barracks reporting light freezing drizzle across the region. Troopers responded a partial rollover on Route 91 in Springfield that caused minor injuries to a 25-year-old woman. Troopers also responded to two other recent spinouts. No roads are closed.
Massachusetts Turnpike/Tunnels: Troop E barracks reporting mixed precipitation, from snow to sleet to freezing rain and rain. Troopers continue to respond to occasional spinouts. The Charlton barracks recently responded to a jackknifed tractor-trailer unit in Palmer with a minor fuel spill. The Tunnels barracks are reporting flooding on Route 93 southbound in Boston at Exit 18 (Mass. Avenue).
Logan Airport: Troop F reporting runways open with limited flights, and numerous cancellations and delays from earlier snow. Runways are being treated for icing conditions. Little traffic into the airport, and terminals are almost empty. No significant incidents at this time.
