Road Rage Incident On I-93 In Manchester Ends With Arrest
MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS/AP) -A Goffstown man landed in jail for allegedly pulling a gun on another driver. It happened on Interstate 93 in Manchester on Friday afternoon.
Police say 23-year-old Derek Mailhot of Goffstown and another driver were heading north on I-93 Friday. They were making unsafe lane changes that led to hand gestures between the drivers.
Police say as it progressed, Mailhot allegedly pulled alongside the other car and showed a handgun. That prompted the other driver to call 911.
A state trooper was able to stop Mailhot on Route 101 West in Bedford, within about four minutes of the call. A firearm was found and Mailhot was arrested on charges of criminal threatening and reckless conduct.
Mailhot was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 8.
