Lockdown Lifted At Woonsocket, RI Hospital
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (CBS) — Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island was placed on lockdown Thursday night after a man went to the facility with a gun.
Police surrounded the hospital and staff members were evacuated. Ambulances had to be diverted to other hospitals.
The man, who was in a truck outside the hospital, was taken into custody after police deployed a "distraction device."
There were no injuries reported.
