Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 5 Must-Adds

BOSTON (CBS) - We're coming off a very high scoring Week 4 despite many good teams and good players on the bye, including Denver, Seattle, Cincinnati and Arizona.

Very high scoring across the board in what was an explosive fantasy week, but here we are gearing up for Week 5, which starts Thursday night when the Vikings travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers.

So now the question becomes who can you grab as Week 5 draws near? The waiver wire in most leagues has probably been picked pretty clean at this point, but 98.5 The Sports Hub's Rich Keefe believes there's still some valuable players out there to be had.

Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon

"Teddy Bridgewater is in now, so maybe the Vikings are seeing what they have in their young guys, but in his first game since really being incorporated into the offense in Week 4, he had over 100 yards and was a dual threat guy. He was kind of like a Julian Edelman in college. Played some quarterback, played some running back. He's a great athlete. Give him a shot. Definitely a guy worth owning, especially when there's no end in sight for the Adrian Peterson situation."

Panthers RB Darrin Reaves

"I don't particularly care for him, but the Panthers running backs are dropping like flies in Carolina. Jonathan Stewart may not play this week. DeAngelo Williams looks like even less of a chance to play. They signed Chris Ogbonnaya, but Reaves got the ball over 10 times last week and he's worth being owned. Not sure if you play him. I think McKinnon should have the higher waiver priority this week."

Vikings WR Jarius Wright

"Out of nowhere Wright had 8 catches and 132 yards last week. They have Cordarrelle Patterson but he's a different type of wide receiver. They also have a washed up Greg Jennings, so maybe there's a spot for Jarius Wright."

Patriots WR Brandon LaFell

"Six catches for 119 yards and a touchdown on Monday night. A lot of that came in garbage time, yes, but they don't play Aaron Dobson -- they don't even dress him! Dobson or Thompkins! LaFell played in all 50 offensive snaps against the Chiefs. He may not have another 100-yard game, but I could see him getting some more touchdowns. If you're desperate for a wide receiver, maybe you're looking down the line at bye week replacements or have an absolute dud on your team, I think LaFell is worth a shot."
