Rex Ryan Has Fun As Pats Fan, 'No Chance' At Boston Accent
BOSTON (CBS) – New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has already filmed his scenes as a Patriots fan, a role he certainly will not portray the week leading up the two team's divisional clash.
"It was a stretch, no doubt, but it was great. A lot of fun," Ryan said with a chuckle during his Wednesday conference call with the New England media.
Ryan is set to appear in a new Adam Sandler movie as a Pats fan, despite his current disdain for all things Boston.
"They had a lot of Red Sox stuff in there, a lot of Patriots stuff all over the place, even Bruins stuff," said Ryan. "Quite honestly I'm not a fan of any of those Boston teams."

His scene included a Bill Belichick bobblehead doll, which Ryan joked, did not survive the filming process.
"For some reason I think [the Belichick bobblehead] got knocked over and broke into several pieces," said Ryan, before adding, "Just joking."
And don't expect to hear Ryan taking a shot at the Boston accent in the upcoming film.
"No chance. That would be the worst," said Ryan. "I did not overact."

Belichick was asked about Ryan's upcoming movie role during his Wednesday chat with the media. While he said it should be interesting to see Ryan in a reverse role, don't expect him to be making any appearances as a Jets fan.
"I was there for a couple years, so I was a Jets fan," said Belichick.
