Rev's Joseph Faces Trespassing Charge
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A player for the New England Revolution soccer team faces a trespassing charge after his arrest at an Orlando hotel.
Major League Soccer's Shalrie Joseph was arrested Feb. 20 after an argument with police.
Orlando police say Joseph refused to return to his room after they broke up a party he was attending at the hotel. Officers had gotten an early morning complaint about noise.
According to police, Joseph told them "I'm not going anywhere."
Joseph tells The Boston Globe he realizes he could have avoided the argument, but that the officer was "very aggressive" and "talked down to me, like I was a little boy."
A spokeswoman for the team declined to comment on the arrest. She says the league is reviewing the issue.
