Revs' Lee Nguyen Earns MLS Player Of The Week Honors
BOSTON (CBS) - After helping the New England Revolution to a 4-1 victory on Saturday, midfielder Lee Nguyen has been named the MLS Player of the Week.
The Revs midfielder scored two goals and added an assist Saturday against the Vancouver Whitecaps, his former team. Vancouver waived the 25-year-old a week before the regular season.
Stats: MLS Standings
Nguyen scored his first career goal in the sixth minute, tying the game at a goal apiece. After assisting on Saer Sene's goal in the 24th minute, he tallied his second score of the game with a 25-yard boot off a throw-in in the 72nd minute. The long-distance score is one of five nominees for the MLS Goal of the Week.

The Revolution (4-6-0) next play on Saturday, May 19 when the club hosts the Houston Dynamo at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
