Return Of The Sunshine
The low pressure system that brought heavy rainfall to many areas across Southeastern Massachusetts is heading towards the Canadian Maritimes.
A surface high will take its place for the rest of the workweek providing sunshine to New England.

Morning clouds and patchy fog will give way to mostly sunny skies later this afternoon. Clouds will erode from northwest to southeast.
Highs will range from the upper 50s to the middle 60s, the coolest being the Cape and Islands. Friday will be mostly sunny with high pressure still in control. However, a backdoor cold front will induce winds from the northeast which means cooler temperatures. Highs will top off in the upper 40s along the coast to middle 50s for the interior.
This Weekend: Sunshine will kick-off Saturday before rain arrives during the evening hours. The rain will continue through Sunday afternoon. Highs will be bear 50F on Saturday and near 60F on Sunday.
Marathon Monday/Patriot's Day: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Temperatures will top off near 60F. WSW winds will provide a 'tail wind'.
